Falkland Islands, Volunteer Point

Posted 1 year ago by avatar hamo in response to avatar bigduck's question: What exactly is this place called Volunteer Point in The Falkland Islands? (give a different answer) .

'This place' is actually a wildlife sanctuary north of Stanley. It's the place of the only big nesting colony of King Penguins outside South Georgia. This is the place where you can take pictures of Gentoo or Magellanic penguins or elephant seals and all kinds of birds becuase they are more tame than in other places. However, you should check with the landowner before visiting.
