Saunders Island

Posted 1 year ago by avatar kelly in response to avatar elena's question: Where can I see some interesting wildlife in the Falkland Islands? (give a different answer) .

You should check out Saunders Island, one of the smaller islands. There's a group of King Penguins at the neck, only a 45-minute ride from Port Egmont (where there is an 18th century British Outpost). Then you can also see Magellanic, Gentoo and Rock Hoppers. You can take a Portakabin at the neck for 25 Pounds a night with transport. If you go another 2 hours by foot you'll come across sea elephants.
